    High Blood Pressure Treatment

A common condition where blood flows through arteries at higher-than-normal pressure.

    Understanding High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure (hypertension) means the force of blood against the artery walls stays too high, making the heart work harder than it should. It is often called the 'silent killer' because most people have no symptoms — a reading of 130/80 mmHg or above is generally considered high.

At Crest Natural Health Centre, we use natural, homeopathic remedies together with dietary and lifestyle guidance to help bring blood pressure under control safely.

    Common Symptoms

    Often no symptoms at all
    Headaches
    Palpitations
    Chest pain
    Blurred vision
    Swollen legs
    General fatigue

    Causes & Triggers

In most adults there is no single cause; blood pressure simply creeps up over many years, often alongside plaque build-up in the arteries.
Sometimes it is driven by another condition, such as kidney disease, thyroid problems, sleep apnoea, or certain medicines.
Being older, overweight, or physically inactive all raise the risk.
A diet high in salt and heavy alcohol use also push blood pressure up.

    Risks of Delaying Care

Untreated high blood pressure can damage the heart, leading to coronary artery disease, heart failure, and heart attack.
It is a leading cause of stroke and can contribute to vascular dementia.
Over time it scars the kidneys and is one of the most common causes of kidney failure.
It can also damage the small blood vessels in the eyes, threatening eyesight.

    How We Diagnose It

    Complete blood count
    Blood sugar test
