    Heart Failure Treatment

When the heart struggles to pump blood effectively, leading to fatigue and fluid buildup.

    Understanding Heart Failure

Heart failure means the heart muscle can no longer pump blood well enough to meet the body's needs. It may come on slowly over time (chronic) or suddenly (acute), and it can affect the left side of the heart, the right side, or both.

At Crest Natural Health Centre, we use a range of NDA-registered homeopathic medicines, matched to your particular symptoms, alongside lifestyle guidance — working with, not against, any care you already receive from your doctor.

    Common Symptoms

Shortness of breath on exertion or when lying down
    Fatigue and weakness
Swelling in the legs, ankles, and feet
    Rapid or irregular heartbeat
    Reduced ability to exercise
    Persistent cough or wheezing
Rapid weight gain from fluid build-up
    Nausea or loss of appetite

    Causes & Triggers

Coronary artery disease and previous heart attacks are among the most common causes, as damaged heart muscle pumps less effectively.
Long-standing high blood pressure forces the heart to work harder until it begins to weaken.
Problems with the heart valves, inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis), and congenital heart defects can all reduce pumping power.
Other conditions contribute too — diabetes, thyroid disorders, and certain infections can strain the heart over time.

    Risks of Delaying Care

Dangerous heart-rhythm disturbances can develop and, at worst, lead to sudden cardiac arrest.
Fluid can collect around the lungs, making breathing increasingly difficult.
Reduced blood flow can damage the kidneys and liver over time.
Ongoing strain can worsen existing valve problems and lead to poor nutrition as appetite falls.

    How We Diagnose It

Echocardiography to assess how well the heart pumps
Electrocardiogram (ECG) to check the heart's rhythm
    Chest X-ray
Blood tests, including liver and kidney function
Review of symptoms and medical history
