    Understanding Osteoporosis

    Osteoporosis is a condition in which the bones gradually become thinner and less dense, so they break more easily. It is often called the 'silent disease' because there are usually no symptoms until a bone fractures.

    Causes & Triggers

    Bone is constantly renewed, but after about the age of 35 the body replaces it more slowly than it loses it, so bones gradually thin.
